Erika Marosi
Erika recently became certified as a Pre/Post Natal Fitness Specialist [PFS]. She was a participant in the pre-natal classes and continues to participate in the post-natal classes as she gave birth to Abigail in June 2006. Outdoor fitness has always been part of her life with a particular interest in running and she has run several half marathons. She has previous experience leading groups including bike tours in the Maritimes and captained several soccer teams. She is an Occupational Therapist by training and has worked in the private sector for 3.5 years. During this time, she learned a great deal about providing individuals with assistive devices and education in order to promote independence. Erika also volunteers her time as a certified Car Seat Safety Inspector. She hopes to combine her experiences as a new mother, her love of fitness and the outdoors, and Occupational Therapy, to provide clients with the tools to achieve their goals.

She holds fitness certifications through the YMCA and is Can Fit Pro PFS certified. Stacy teaches up to nine group fitness classes a week ranging from group cycling, sports conditioning, yoga/flexibility/relaxation, stability ball, group resistance training and choreography based classes. In addition to that she has started instructing the certification courses run through the Kingston Family YMCA. Her passion for fitness spills into her own training whether it be for triathlons, duathlons or running half or full marathons. Her full time career is within the mental health field in therapeutic recreation. Her personal philosophy is that anyone can achieve results if you are having fun and you are dedicated.
Meghann Brunet
Leading up to the birth of her son Cole, Meghann participated in pre-natal fitness classes. Since Cole’s birth in May 2006, Meghann has had the pleasure of being a participant in a number of Body Now 4 Mums training sessions. It was through these positive experiences that Meghann took an interest in, and became a certified Pre & Post Natal Fitness Specialist [PFS] in the Spring of 2007. She obtained her Bachelor of Kinesiology from McMaster University in 2002. She works as a Certified Pedorthist (biomechanical foot specialist) at BioPed Kingston where she has been successfully assessing, treating and providing orthotics in the Kingston area for six years. She also is a qualified Highland Dance Teacher. Sport and Fitness have always been a fundamental part of Meghann’s life. Pre and post natal fitness have been a vital part of this exciting time in her life and have provided her with new fitness goals as well as the opportunity to continue to be a healthy and active role model for Cole. Meghann looks forward to connecting with and sharing her enthusiasm with other mums and mums to be.
Peggy Cuthbert
Stay tuned for Peggy’s Bio!
Shannon Cowan Shannon has always been an active participant in many different sports her whole life. When she found out she would be giving birth to a baby, she stayed active. After the birth of her daughter Abigail in July of 2006, she joined Tracie's walking groups and was hooked! She proudly completed her first half-marathon in April 2006, and is committed to her second in September of 2008 after she gives birth to her second baby in January of 2008. It was through Tracie's fitness groups that Shannon became passionate about pre & post-natal fitness and joined the team by instructing the introductory biking class this past summer. Biking has been one of Shannon's newest passions for the last two years and by teaching it she has been able to enjoy the benefits of having fun while working out with other mums! Shannon attended Queen's University for three years in the faculty of Physical and Health Education. She is planning on completing her Personal Training Certifications (PTS) as well as her Pre & Post Natal Fitness Specialist (PFS) course in the new year. An active lifestyle is Shannon's passion and sharing it with other mums is a great way to inspire people in a healthy way. She looks forward to interacting with everyone who participates in the 'bodynow4mums philosophy'.

Tina Demerling After the birth of her son Kirk, in August 2006, a friend invited her to join a BN4M PowerStride class, and she found she really enjoyed the physical challenge and the companionship and support of the other mums. This feeling increased when she re-introduced running into her training and led her to become certified as a personal trainer (PFS, CanFit Pro, 2007). She is also currently completing certification as a Pre & Post Natal Fitness specialist. BodyNow4Mums' focus of active living in the context of the outdoors is complementary to her personal love and respect of the world around us and her training as a geophysics engineer (Queen's University, 1999; Memorial University of Newfoundland, 2004) and as an educator (Queen's University, 2006). Tina has found that working as a personal trainer in private and group settings is energizing and she is always thrilled to see the progress that participants make in their own training.
Stay tuned ….. A few more trainers have joined the team and their bio’s will appear soon!
Just give us a ring or send us an e-mail if you have any questions. We will be more than happy to steer you in the right direction.
